Every page of theINmag is made by real Aussie kids, and getting in starts at our Send IN page. Your child submits a creation they are proud of, a real person on our team reviews it, and around 300 creations make it into each issue. It is completely free to submit. The number one thing we look for is effort. Personality and heart matter more than technical polish, so the best tip is to send in something your kid genuinely loves.

Head to our Send IN page. Upload your child's creation there, whether it is a drawing, story, photo, joke or puzzle. It is free, it takes a few minutes, and a real human reviews every single submission. Nothing is ever auto-published. You will see a celebration screen once you hit submit, and if the creation is selected for print and you shared a parent email, we will be in touch before the issue drops.

Absolutely, grandkids are very welcome. Any Aussie kid roughly 4 to 16 can send in a creation through our Send IN page, and it is free. You do not need to be the parent to help them submit, and a real person on our team reviews everything that comes in. If you would like to make it extra special, plenty of grandparents pair a Send IN with a gift Membership so the mag lands in the letterbox too.

Almost certainly not. theINmag is open to Aussie kids roughly 4 to 16, and the range has been aging up as older kids keep sending in creations. We celebrate all ages and all abilities, so if your child has made something they are proud of, we would love to see it.

First, a celebration screen. Then a real human on our team of teachers and artists reviews the submission personally. We never auto-publish anything. If the creation is selected for print and you provided a parent email on the form, we will contact you before the issue drops. The parent email is optional, so we only contact families who chose to share it.

Not every creation makes it into print. There are more incredible kids than there are pages, and around 300 creations fit in each issue. But submissions that miss print can still appear in our online gallery, so other kids get to see what your child made. Two things help next time: we always notice serious effort, and kids who send in lots of different creations across the year have more chances of being picked.

Yes. Kid safety is locked in across the whole process. We only ever show a first name, last initial, age and town, never full names, schools or addresses. A real person reviews every single submission, nothing is auto-published, and you can ask us to take a creation down at any time.

Yes, anytime. Email heyhey@theinmag.com.au and we will remove the creation from the website and gallery, no questions asked. Print copies that have already shipped cannot be recalled, but nothing future-facing stays up once you ask us to take it down.

Only one of our Memberships ever charges again: Rolling. The 4-Issue and 8-Issue Memberships are paid upfront and never auto-renew, they simply finish when the last issue ships. If you have a Rolling Membership, we email you a heads-up before each charge, and you can cancel anytime. Not sure which one you have? They are coming, one at a time. theINmag comes out three times a year, in February, June and October, and your Membership delivers one mag per issue as each one drops. So a 4-Issue Membership arrives as four separate mags across about 16 months, not four mags in one parcel. Your child gets the fun of the postie four times over instead of once. Every issue you paid for will arrive.

Yes, that is exactly what the "start with the next issue" option is for. You skip the issue your kid already has, and your Membership begins with the next drop. The price is the same either way, so there is no extra cost to wait.

Standard post does not always carry a live tracking link, so we cannot promise one on every order. What we can promise: if something goes astray, email heyhey@theinmag.com.au, we will look up your delivery on our end, and if it is lost we will resend it. One quirk worth knowing: AusPost scans can lag, so a mag posted on a Friday may not scan until Monday even though it is already on its way.

Almost certainly yes. When this happens, the payment has nearly always gone through fine and the confirmation email has simply gone to a different address, often one with a small typo. Just grab a Membership on our website and pop the child's postal address in as the delivery address, so the mag goes straight to them. Grandparents are some of our favourite gift buyers. Your choice. Pick "start with the current issue" and it ships right away while stock lasts. Pick "start with the next issue" and their first mag arrives in the week after the next drop in February, June or October. For a birthday, tell us the date and we can time it to land just before.

Yes, easy. A tax invoice comes with your order, and if you need another copy, or need it made out a particular way for your school, email heyhey@theinmag.com.au and we will send a PDF over. We work with lots of schools, so whatever format your finance team needs, just ask.

Yes, because creating something encourages a child to think, and thinking is where real learning happens. Making decisions, testing ideas and fixing what doesn't work builds a habit that transfers to reading, maths and everything after.
