I’m absolutely fascinated by science—especially space! There’s something amazing about the stars above us, and I wanted to learn everything I could about how they live and change. So, I did lots of research on the life cycle of a star, from the moment it’s born to the time it becomes something incredible like a supernova or a black hole! This piece is my way of sharing information about Space in a fun and engaging way!!

My design for the IN logo is a mermaid tail and a cheetah print. I have drawn a rainbow wombat because I’m a wombat warrior. We have wombats living on our farm. Sometimes they sneak in under our house! And sometimes they get sick with mange and we need to give them medicine. You know when a wombat is sick because they are really itchy and they come out during the day when they should be sleeping. We helped one wombat named Wally who was really sick but now he is better. That’s why I coloured him rainbow! I love wombats!

Freya M. │ Kununurra WA, age 11

Last night it was raining and all the frogs were croaking and looking for a mate. When I woke up, I got out of bed and went to look in the pool for frogs. There were 7 giant burrowing frogs and 2 small frogs. Did you know that the female giant burrowing frogs can grow up to 10 cm long and males can grow up to 8 cm long? One male and one female were breeding. We named the female Mrs Pancake and the male Mr Pancake. Mrs Pancake was so fat! We found a fish tank and filled it with water and put two rocks and Mr and Mrs Pancake in the fish tank. Mr and Mrs Pancake laid lots of eggs in the fish tank. We hope they will hatch.
