Chapter 1The beginning of the end

Brox lived a nice life in the Third Realm protecting the Mountain Kingdom and his people. He was one of the eight knights that protected each of the Eight Realms. The eight realms covered eight different lands ranging from the icy cliffs of the first realm to the scorching desert of the eighth.

His favourite thing to do in the Mountain Kingdom was exploring the old tunnels of the long-extinct crystal gnomes.

Little did he know that things were happening in those tunnels that would change his life forever...

Chapter 2Behind the mountains

Meanwhile on the other side of the mountains the human kings most valued servant was actually an evil sorcerer who managed to poison the kings mind without detection.

Now the human king obeys his every command.

The sorcerer told the king to get his people to set up camp and start mining for a crystal called the Zardex Cube, which he needed to reawaken Zard, the dragon of destruction.

His ultimate goal was to use Zard to take over the eight realms.

Chapter 3The Zardex Cube

The humans were making great progress in the tunnels and were close to finding the Zardex cube when the entrance to the tunnel collapsed.

Then they found a glowing white light so they headed towards it and found themselves in a giant cavern with a hole at the very top, where moonlight was shining down on an altar.

They approached the altar and pushed the top of the altar off and found the Zardex cube beneath.

They took the cube and placed it into a hollow in the altar that was the same size as the cube. Once the cube was in place the ground started shaking. Unknowing they had just re-awakened Zard.

Chapter 4The Second Altar

Brox heard the mountain shaking and thought it was an earthquake. He gathered his people and headed to the boats where they would sail to the uncharted island of the Second Altar.

They stayed there for weeks and as soon as he saw it was safe they came back to the Kingdom.

Brox then headed up to the mountains but when he looked half of the mountain was gone and there were giant claw marks going down the mountain.

He immediately contacted the other knights but only five responded, with one of them badly wounded.

Chapter 5The knights of the realms

The remaining knights went to the island of the second altar to discuss what was going on. One of them said they saw a giant shadow flying over their realm. Once the shadow was gone, everything was destroyed. The knight barely survived to inform the group. The other two knights died trying to save their realm from the destruction.

Chapter 6The Prophesy

The wizard unrolled an ancient scroll. The eight realms will crash together under thunder, ice, fire and lightning, unless the chosen one can find the lost realm of the dragons. Only he can save the eight realms and lock Zard away for good...

Chapter 7The knights dragons

The remaining knights went to the second realm of the rainforest kingdom and summoned their dragons. The knights begged the dragons for help in their quest to find the portal for the hidden realm.

The dragons created an invisible map that didn't have anything on it. It could only be seen with a helmet made of a rare diamond that can only be found in the desert of the eighth realm.

They got onto their dragons and headed for the eighth realm.

Chapter 8Zard the destroyer

The destruction dragon named Zard was heading towards the fifth realm being controlled by the evil sorcerer. What the evil sorcerer didn't know was that Zard could not be controlled by anyone or anything. The first chance Zard got he ate the sorcerer and the king was released from the poison.

He was once a peaceful dragon but the older Zard got the more evil he became and needed to be locked away by the other dragons using the Zardex cube. While he was locked away he discovered the black diamond of darkness and he absorbed the power into him so he could destroy the dragons who locked him away.

Chapter 9The helmet of diamond

Soon the remaining knights got to the eighth realm and searched the scorching deserts to find the helmet made of rare diamond that could not be destroyed.

Then Brox got a glimpse of light coming from far away in the desert and they journeyed towards it. It was the diamond helmet they were after.

Putting the helmet on, Brox could read the map. It led him to a secret far away island in the dark waters of the sixth realm, the sea kingdom. There they found the portal to the ninth realm of the secret dragon Kingdom and they went through...

Chapter 10The secret dragon kingdom

The map told the knights to head towards a volcano, the biggest volcano in sight.

Once they got to the volcano they headed up the rocky slope with cliffs on every side. The knights had to be careful as they might wake the dragons up and they were sure the dragons would not want to be disturbed from their sleep.

One of the knights slipped and accidently kicked a rock off the cliff which clanged as it fell and woke every dragon up.

The knights started running for the top of the volcano.

Chapter 11The dragon elders

The knights were quickly captured and sent to the dragon elders. There they were asked their purpose for being in the dragon realm. Brox told the elders about the re-awakening of Zard and requested help in defeating him. The Elders told the knights that Zard could not be defeated but could only be locked away.

The Elder dragons decided they would help train them and pass on the knowledge required to lock Zard away for good.

Over the weeks, Brox and the other knights learned how to use their powers. Powers which they never knew they had. The powers were ice, fire, earth, lightning, water, and creation.

Chapter 12The villagers

With the map, their newly developed powers, and sacred dragon knowledge the knights headed to the fifth realm of the sky city where Zard was last seen.

The people who remained there were badly wounded but were treated by the knights. When they were healed enough to talk they told the knights what happened. They said they saw a black shadow coming from the north. As it got closer, they realized it was a black dragon which shot rays from its wings, destroying everything in its pass and consuming the souls that died. With each it got more powerful.

"Please help us" begged the villagers that had survived the attack.

Chapter 13The plan

Brox and the other knights discussed their plan. Their plan was to lure Zard to the Second Altar as the first Altar got destroyed when he reawakened. Brox had the power of creation so he was the only one who could make a new chamber for Zard to be locked away in. It was all up him.

The other five knights went to get Zard and flew around him to annoy him in an attempt to lure him to the Altar. Zard was a big dragon and was much slower than the other dragons that the knights were riding. They got back to the Altar and discussed a plan. Their plan was to put their powers into the chamber so Zard would be attracted to the chamber and go in.

Chapter 14The recapture of Zard

By the time Zard got to the island he was furious and was shooting black beams at the knights that could easily destroy them. The knights managed to dodge the beams and Zard was distracted with the power coming from the chamber.

He launched at the powers that were set in the chamber and grabbed them but got trapped in the chamber instead. He was unable to get out. With the job done, the powers were released back into the knights.

The prophesy was fulfilled.

Chapter 15The end of the beginning

The realms and lands were once again calm and peaceful. And the knights went back to their realms to rebuild their villages, towns and castles.

The realms are safe for now...
